Accumulation table

An accumulation table for CONFIT DE PROVENCE

Since 1980, CONFIT DE PROVENCE has made its mark on the jam market by offering its customers top-quality raw materials, unique expertise and top-quality service. The company is present in supermarkets and specialized channels, and works for major brand-name distributors.

A problem of accumulation

The Confit de Provence company's brief was to replace an existing table which had "outlived its usefulness" and was a source of lost output. Indeed, the difficulty of this project is to accumulate jars of different sizes and shapes without dropping them, and to maintain a continuous flow to the overwrapping machines. Some of the jars have a flared shape, which makes accumulation difficult.

A simple, effective solution

To meet its customer's needs, ACCS Packaging proposed an in-line accumulation table consisting of a transfer section and an accumulation section running in opposite directions. The table features dynamic accumulation, meaning that products are immediately reintroduced into the production circuit.

The installation was carried out entirely by the ACCS teams (project manager, fitter, electricians and automation engineer). Installation took less than a week, and start-up less than a day. Supplied with an HMI interface, speed adjustments for all conveyors are very simple to make.

Customer comments after several days' use: "It changes our lives".

Canister air conveyor

Canister air conveyor

Can conveyor

ACCS has revolutionized the industry with its latest can conveyor concept. Our air conveyor offers frictionless transfer, specifically designed for large-capacity plastic drums, ranging from 5 to 10 liters.

This innovative device is designed to establish an efficient link between a bottle blow-molder/former and a filler, all at particularly high speeds. Based on the tried-and-tested principle of transferring PET bottles and closures, our conveyor uses the force of air to impart inertia to the cans, enabling them to reach the next machine smoothly.

Featuring strategically positioned side guides, the conveyor prevents tilting on bends and ensures smooth accumulation. A major advantage is that our canister air conveyor is virtually maintenance-free. No chain wear, no friction, and even less risk of breakage.

An infinite number of variations

Versatility is at the heart of our design, offering an infinite range of possibilities. Our system can be easily adapted for other products such as cigarette cartons, tea tins, potato chip tubes, capsules, and many more.

Entrust us with your specific requirements, and we'll carry out an in-depth study to offer you a perfectly adapted solution.

At ACCS, innovation and personalization are at the heart of our commitment to your success.

Frictionless transfer - Dry lubrication

Frictionless transfer - Dry lubrication

ACCS specializes in frictionless unit transfer.

Towards a greener transition

With the ecological constraints many manufacturers have turned to new materials for their packaging products. This is not without consequences for line equipment and output. Replacing plastic packaging with solutions made from recycled materials (R-PET or cardboard) can have serious consequences on line yields and equipment maintenance.

Solutions for all types of products:

That's why ACCS offers several solutions for the unit transfer of light loads. These include R-PET recycled plastic bottles, caps, closures, cans and cardboard packaging. For the transfer of light loads, ACCS offers a range of air conveyors for frictionless transfer of unit loads. In particular, the "Flat-track" conveyor replaces chain or cable conveyors with air. The driving force of air enables very high speeds to be achieved without generating friction on the product.

For more conventional equipment, such as mechanical conveyors, ACCS offers "low-friction" chains, and above all Micro-Dry lubrication, which is totally environmentally friendly. The product used to reduce chain friction is DLT-333. It's a totally biodegradable ecological material. It significantly improves line efficiency while reducing maintenance costs. The application system developed by CHP Micro dry not only reduces friction on chains, but also acts inside them. Chain life is extended by 30% and energy consumption is reduced.

Limiting friction on lines is a twofold objective: a response to ecological constraints and a concern for line performance.

ACCS offers visits to measure the coefficient of friction of your equipment.

Line audit

Line audit

Air conveyor line audit

Blockages on air conveyors are a scourge: how can they be remedied?

Air conveyors, if misused or poorly maintained, can lead to serious productivity losses. It can also be a source of irritation for line operators.

With over 20 years' experience in air conveyors. ACCS Europe offers its customers a personalized line audit. The aim is to analyze in detail the sources of yield losses and propose solutions to remedy them.

How does a line audit work? Based on a pre-established contract, ACCS Europe carries out a complete diagnosis of the air conveyor installations on a typical production day. Based on observation during 7 hours of production, a technician will first take a reading of the bottle flow. He will note the points of blockage, the frequency of incidents, and the reaction time of operators to intervene. He will then go into greater detail, analyzing the conveyor's mechanical structure. He'll note any faults or maladjustments. Finally, he will analyze the automation process and speed management, observing the filling phases of the line.

At the end of the observation day, an initial discussion takes place with the customer to share observations.

A written report will then be drawn up in the office and sent to the customer. The customer will be provided with all the technical information needed to understand the source of the problem.

Finally, ACCS will propose several areas for improvement to help customers improve their line operation and reduce the number of blockages.

Conveyor belt for caps and closures

Conveyor belt for caps and closures

1-2-3 lane conveyor for caps and closures : ACCS Europe

ACCS Europe continues to expand its range of air conveyors for caps and closures.

The operating principle is directly inspired by the air conveyor for PET bottles. Caps or closures circulate individually in a blowing channel. The fluidic energy is transmitted to the cap by slots spaced along the length of the blow channel. The force of air alone transports the capsules to the capping machine. In this way, very high speeds can be achieved. The ACCS range of conveyors also includes 90° elevations, curves and accumulations. As far as guiding is concerned. Retractable stainless-steel guides hold the capsule in position along its entire length.

Each fan is controlled by a variable speed drive to regulate air speed according to the line layout.

Each unit / fan is available in several versions: G4+F7 or H13 (Hepa) to meet customer requirements. Depending on the application, soundproofing assemblies can be integrated to reduce noise pollution by 5 to 10dB.

Air conveyors for caps and closures offer many advantages. Compared to traditional (belt) conveyors. It reduces the breakdown rate and requires very little maintenance. As friction levels are very low, there is very little residual dust.

The ACCS Europe range of cap conveyors is also available in 1-way and 2-way versions, in 304L stainless steel or brushed stainless steel.

Before delivering the equipment, ACCS carries out a series of tests in the workshop to ensure that the transfers at the transitions run smoothly. This is a guarantee of quality.

Philip Morris: cartridge conveyor

Philip Morris: cartridge conveyor

ACCS Ibero has developed a new type of air conveyor for its customer Philip Morris. The aim of the project is to replace cable conveyors, which generate numerous technical problems. The other challenge of this project is to feed 6 cigarette carton packaging lines with the same equipment.

ACCS rose to the challenge: its sleek design, high performance and compact footprint convinced Philip Morris to adopt one of the ACCS group's latest innovations.

The cartridge conveyor has 6 lanes, fed simultaneously by fans distributed evenly along the line. Adjustable side guides channel the cartridges and guide them to distribution "chutes".

Low maintenance costs are also a major argument in favor of the cartridge air conveyor solution. Since there is very little friction, there is very little wear and tear on mechanical components.
