An accumulation table for CONFIT DE PROVENCE

Since 1980, CONFIT DE PROVENCE has made its mark on the jam market by offering its customers top-quality raw materials, unique expertise and top-quality service. The company is present in supermarkets and specialized channels, and works for major brand-name distributors.

A problem of accumulation

The Confit de Provence company's brief was to replace an existing table which had "outlived its usefulness" and was a source of lost output. Indeed, the difficulty of this project is to accumulate jars of different sizes and shapes without dropping them, and to maintain a continuous flow to the overwrapping machines. Some of the jars have a flared shape, which makes accumulation difficult.

A simple, effective solution

To meet its customer's needs, ACCS Packaging proposed an in-line accumulation table consisting of a transfer section and an accumulation section running in opposite directions. The table features dynamic accumulation, meaning that products are immediately reintroduced into the production circuit.

The installation was carried out entirely by the ACCS teams (project manager, fitter, electricians and automation engineer). Installation took less than a week, and start-up less than a day. Supplied with an HMI interface, speed adjustments for all conveyors are very simple to make.

Customer comments after several days' use: "It changes our lives".
