ACCS Ibero has developed a new type of air conveyor for its customer Philip Morris. The aim of the project is to replace cable conveyors, which generate numerous technical problems. The other challenge of this project is to feed 6 cigarette carton packaging lines with the same equipment.

ACCS rose to the challenge: its sleek design, high performance and compact footprint convinced Philip Morris to adopt one of the ACCS group's latest innovations.

The cartridge conveyor has 6 lanes, fed simultaneously by fans distributed evenly along the line. Adjustable side guides channel the cartridges and guide them to distribution "chutes".

Low maintenance costs are also a major argument in favor of the cartridge air conveyor solution. Since there is very little friction, there is very little wear and tear on mechanical components.
